I can remember as a child quite often visiting my grandparents Mission
Hills home. It was always a place of adventure, warmth and most of all…ART.
There many travels to various places such as Africa allowed them to collect the
most amazing African masks and tribal related pieces. The teak covered
stairwell was covered with their collection of masks from all over the world.
My grandpa, Charlie, had a drafting room off the hallway. I will never forget
the blue carpet. His amazing WW2 water colors, now in the homes of family
members and friends, impress me every time I see them. His artistic talent has
been passed on to his children and grandchildren. I hope to visit the house
soon and recapture the many childhood memories.
